December 17 – The National Defence University of Malaysia Postgraduate Association (PASCA) successfully organised its inaugural program, bringing together patrons and advisors for a day filled with engaging activities.

 

The event began with a meeting featuring key advisors, including Col. Dr. Zahimi bin Zainol Abidin (Retired), Centre for Leadership and Professional Development Director. Following this meeting, participants enjoyed a series of hands-on experiences, visiting the Engineering Faculty Aircraft Simulation and the Faculty of Defence Science and Technology’s Ship Simulation facilities, as well as participating in water activities at the Marine Center.

 

The program also welcomed industry representatives, such as Prof. Dr. Vincent from Spectrum International University College, Teo Siew Chyi from Multimedia University, and Ashraf Muslim, a celebrity and officer in the Military Reserve Force (Wataniah), who provided valuable insights and perspectives.

 

In the afternoon, the association’s committee met with its patron, Prof. Dr. Aidy bin Ali, Dean of the UPNM Center for Graduate Studies. They discussed the agenda for upcoming activities, strategic planning for the year 2025, and preparations for an impending Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) audit.

 

This inaugural event marks a significant milestone for PASCA, fostering collaboration between academic leaders, industry experts, and postgraduate students as they work together to enhance the educational experience at the university.
