The Centre For Graduate Studies was originally established in May 2008 using the name Centre For Research and Graduate Management (PPPS). PPPS was responsible to manage all research activities conducted by the academic staff of the university and at the same time it also managed the application of Masters and PhD candidates. However, following the restructuring of the PPPS office in June 2010, the Centre For Graduate Studies (PPS) and Centre for Research and Innovation (PPPI) were formed to distinguish two different areas of work, the former focuses on managing graduate students and the later focuses on research activities of the university.
